Salary: £20,000-£25,000
Rosewood Engineering (part of the Empower Group) is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join its expanding organisation within the wastewater sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery and contributing to the continued growth of the business. You will work closely with major UK utility companies across the Northwest and Midlands, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Support detailed site visits to gather the information required to produce accurate quotations
- Issue enquiries to suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and support cost‑effective project planning
- Assist in managing projects from order receipt through to completion and client handover
- Monitor project budgets to help ensure delivery within agreed financial targets.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation
- Collate site information and documentation to accurately record and track site performance
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise directly with clients on all aspects of project delivery, including quotations, permits,
- progress updates, and completion documentation
- Provide regular project updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and any required actions
Job Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Ideally suited to a graduate seeking to gain experience within the industry
Skills & Competencies
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly to unexpected issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal teams, and site personnel
- Ability to work independently, manage workload efficiently, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
